Our team was recently discussing an automobile event which was held in the West American region and we couldn’t stop praising the attractions of the event. According to some car experts, the Lambos and the Porsches were as common as a Honda or Toyota in the event. Consider the beauties then which would be creating masses of fans out there. No doubt the places like these would prove to be like an oxygen factory for car enthusiasts. So, just taking some inspiration from the feel, we thought of bringing you a list of places in the world, which you ought to visit if you love cars as much as we do. Hence the article…
1. Monterey Car Week (Laguna Seca) and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance; California, USA
The first mention in the article had to be the place which ignited the desire. The Car Week and Concours happens almost every year, and Boy, it’s one glam show of exotic cars. Almost all the cars which you have dreamt of, are present there to take away your breath. Not many people see a Pagani or Koenigsegg everyday on roads, but this event has loads of them. At times, one might even feel that there should be a separate country carved out for such GRAND events. Basically, it shows America at its car crazy best. La Concours d’ Elegance at Pebble Beach is the most famous beauty contest for heritage cars; masterpieces from all generations. The most unique thing about this event is that cars from the Past, present and future are on display. So, if you’re even a little bit nuts about cars, then you should not miss this event and this place.
In Monaco, the world’s richest people are often seen hanging out or shopping. And what are these people’s car choices? Whatever your imagination can think or even cannot think! Since Monaco doesn’t have a square km area of more than 3, you get to see Ferraris, Aston Martins and other luxury cars very often. The other humble cars there are for mostly vacations. So, you get the idea we are conveying right? The Annual F1 Race which happens at the Monte Carlo track has the racing excitement at it’s loudest. That can also be the best time to be in Monaco. So if you’re an F1 fan and would also like to see flagships easily, then you know what to do.
3. Havana; Cuba
Old and classic car lovers, where have you been if you haven’t been here yet. Havana has the maximum number of classic cars running on the roads at present. The reason for this is actually a political one. The embargo led the locals to preserve and maintain their old cars, and they ended up doing it very well it seems. Old Alfas, Fiats, Buicks; you name it, they have it and in amazing conditions
4. Tesla Factory; Fremont, California
The torchbearers of electric car revolution put up their factory at California. And it is the most advanced automobile plants on Planet right now. As you know, that Tesla feels responsible towards our environment, the factory uses clean energy in making their cars and all the tasks which it does. But the catch here is that only the Tesla car owners can take the factory tours. But the company wants to widen its factory tour reach and why shouldn’t they. They make one of the best cars on this planet today and people would certainly like to see those before buying. By the way the appointment for the factory tour is taken few weeks in advance.
5. Germany, Germany, Germany!
No, it’s not overemphasising. It’s the country which houses the greats like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, and the Volkswagen group (Audi is part of it). Actually, a lot of auto enthusiasts must have already gone there once at least. So this point focuses on letting the freshers batch of enthusiasts know what it is to be there.
Stuttgart – The Mercedes Benz Museum and the Porsche factory. Enough, right?
Wolfsburg – Germany’s 5th largest city has VW Group’s largest factory. In fact the maximum number of people in the city work in the VW plant and headquarters. The economy of this city has a direct correlation on how the VW is performing. And we need not tell you that VW owns Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Skoda, Seat, Ducati and some more as well. If you didn’t know this then you’ll have to wait for some time to call yourself an Auto Enthusiast.
And, of course, the Autobahn Road. I mean, which car enthusiast would not want to drive on a road where at some places, there are no speed limits! So, obviously, this makes for an interesting place to be if you want to enjoy driving your fast cars.
