The crisp air of the season flowing with a festive feel, makes us all want to either start cosying up in our light blankets or go out to enjoy the smells and the entire feel of the fall season. It is nature’s way of slowly bringing in the winter season by making days short and cold and bringing some of the best fruits for us to enjoy. Now, before you get to your almost hibernation point in the winters, don’t you think it is a great idea to enjoy each moment of the fall? And what better way to take advantage of the beauty of nature than to get involved in activities which make the most sense during the autumn season. So, we thought we should be creating a specific list of activities in which you will need to go out of your house, and explore the places around you and even far away if you want to:
1. Take a fall foliage drive
When the leaves have taken up all sorts of shades of the amazing colours of the season and have started to finally fall on the roads, it is best to drive through that carpet of beautiful leaves. And it is not just the view that will be a treat, you will also feel great when the cool air will touch your face when you roll down the windows of the car and speed away in that drive. Need we say more!
2. Get lost in a corn maze
Isn’t it fun to be surrounded by the farm produce that has a recreational value to it? Well, this one activity is something that can be fun not just for the kids but for adults as well.
3. Go to a haunted house
Now, this one is not for the faint-hearted ones here. It basically goes very well with the whole theme of Halloween dictating the feel of the fall season, but take it just as a fun activity and we are sure you will not regret.
4. Go apple picking
If you have some orchards around your place, you would certainly like to get some fresh fruit before all the harvest reaches the market. Go picking them up so that you get to cook the best of dishes for your family and friends. Who is going to be digging in those apple pies?
5. Go for a hike
When the weather is awesome, and you get your loved ones close to you during the festival season, then who wouldn’t want to go for those hikes. Added bonus, you get to talk and catch up on all the gossip!
6. Take a hot-air balloon ride
Being able to see the changing colours of the leaves from above the ground can be your once-in-a-lifetime kind of an experience. The journey in that big balloon is a dream of many, me included. So, if you get a chance to reach to the skies and look at the vastness of it all and the beauty of the land beneath, we would say you should simply not miss that golden opportunity.
7. Rent a cabin in the mountains
The mountain air has started to feel a bit cooler, but still, it is not that cold high up in the mountains that you may not be able to enjoy a few days stay in a cabin which gives you the real treat of nature.
8. Go to a fall festival
If you are determined that you want to have a great time this fall, then we suggest you go to a fall festival nearby. Having the best of the harvest in the autumn colours and people having the zest to enjoy this time of the year, it will not take more than a few minutes that you will be rejoicing because of all the enthusiasm around.
9. Prepare for the Halloween party
With Halloween being the highlight of the season, you simply cannot miss the chance to go out and shop to your heart’s contentment so that you have a rockingly spooky party. We know, it’s already on your mind, so we are not going to bore you with details.
10. Just walk through the leaves and collect the most beautiful ones
This one may seem like the simplest one, but this is what you may love the most if you love this season. Slowing down a bit from the hectic schedules to be able to feel nature and get some magic in your hand seems like the perfect thing to do during fall.
Well, these were our favourite activities which we can indulge in, any day and have a great time. Do you have some other ideas as well? If you do, then please share with us and the rest of the world.
